You've got ADA. Now what?

Three things you can do with it, all from the wallet app you claimed with. Your ADA stays in your wallet the whole time, so start with whichever appeals.

Stake it

Staking puts your ADA behind a stake pool, one of the independently run computers that keep Cardano going. Your ADA never leaves your wallet and is never locked, and you can switch pools or stop whenever you like.

In your wallet app, open its staking section, choose a pool and confirm.

The first time you stake, Cardano holds a deposit of ₳2, which comes back to you if you ever stop. Your wallet app shows a small network fee before you confirm.

Use your vote

Holding ADA gives you a say in how Cardano changes and how its shared treasury is spent. You can hand your vote to a DRep, a representative who votes on your behalf, or vote on proposals yourself. You can change your choice whenever you like.

Both sites list the same DReps. If one does not load, try the other. Not ready to choose someone? Choose Abstain, and pick a DRep later if you want to.
