How to claim your reward

Somebody handed you a card with a QR code on it. That code is a reward waiting for you: a digital collectible, some ₳, or both. Here is how to make it yours. You don't need to know anything about crypto.

  1. Get a wallet app

    A wallet app is where your reward lives, the way a ticket lives in a ticketing app. It is free. Download one of these from your phone's app store. The first is the easiest to start with:

  2. Set it up

    Open the app and follow its setup. It walks you through everything, including how to keep your wallet safe.

  3. Scan your card from inside the app

    Find the scanner in your wallet app and point it at the QR code on your card. Use the app's scanner rather than your phone's camera: the code is made for the wallet app to read.

  4. Say yes

    The app shows where your claim is going and asks you to confirm. Confirm it.

  5. That's it

    Your reward arrives in your wallet shortly after. You're all set, and you didn't need to know anything about crypto to do it.

If it doesn't work

If the app says the code has already been used, has expired, or is not open yet, ask the people who gave you the card. Each card is set up by whoever is running the giveaway, and they can tell you what applies to theirs.
